Here are some real before and after edits!

"I didn’t get newborn photos with my first child so I really wanted to hire a professional with the second one. It just wasn’t possible for us during this pandemic. The DIY newborn course by Fiona Margo was so helpful and gave me confidence in taking my own photos. I was especially relieved when I found out she was editing them! Fiona shared her tips on lighting, which helped a lot. It showed where the light should be coming from and what happens when the light comes from certain angles. I found that incredibly helpful! She also includes tips and examples on how to position siblings, newborns, and the whole family. Before this course, I had no clue on how to do that. She kept it simple and to the point and didn’t over complicate things. I find photography to be intimidating, but after the course I was able to just have fun with it and get the photos I wanted to cherish forever! Thank you Fiona!" - Mama C.

Since 2011, I (Fiona of Fiona Margo Photography) have been providing family and newborn photography to fun-loving, adventurous and snuggly families in Seattle and beyond. I have LOVED running my photography business full-time for the past five years, and am passionate about helping other photographers to best utilize their time so that their businesses thrive. I have previously been an instructor at the Unraveled Academy, and have taught workshops about family and newborn photography from Waco, Texas to Seattle, Washington.

Over the last several years, I have become obsessed with productivity and streamlining so that I can spend more of my time doing the parts of my business that I love, and I want to help you do the same!

I also love tea, podcasts and taco salad, and if anyone points a camera at me, this happens immediately:

I live on Bainbridge Island near Seattle with my firefighter husband, two daughters and very fluffy puppy. When not photographing over 100 families a year, I can often be found hiking in the mountains of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, watching my girls skateboard or trying to locate my daughter's two stuffed octopuses that must come everywhere with the family:

My intro into teaching led me and a co-host to the Fixer Upper barn in Waco, TX for a Newborn and Lifestyle Family 3-day workshop!

From there, I co-hosted a local newborn workshop in a Seattle bungalow:

I am so excited to be transitioning to online learning and for for my content to be more accessible. I cannot wait to share with you what I have learned!
